Spring Feverish

I am freaking out for warm weather.

Barbecue's, sun, camping, picnics, mountain biking, yard games - you name it, I am already excited for it.  We even jumped the gun on Sunday night, and invited 2 friends over for BBQ chicken, potato salad, 7 layer dip; the WORKS.  Then, inevitably, it started to cool off as the sun went down.  We even bundled up, dude, but decided we were a bit over-the-top and headed inside, vowing that NEXT Sunday would be warm enough for a REAL BBQ.

Seeing as how the campgrounds don't open until Memorial Day AND I am on-call for work this weekend, we will be sticking around the hood and attending the Five Points Jazz Festival.  Weather is supposed to be AWESOME, as well as the music and food!  There is so much dang history in this neighborhood, and I can't wait to immerse myself in it.  That and beer.  Mmmm.  There is even a photography contest where you can win a Chipotle burrito, so you KNOW I am in for that. Duh.

THEN, starting in June is the City Park Jazz series, which means picnics on Sunday evenings in City Park, sitting super far from the bandstand (we get there late since we spend most of the day on the couch nursing hangovers making bags), listening to the music float over the trees, sipping wine/beer and eating snacks and yacking with friends.  Seriously, WHO doesn't love a picnic??  That being said, I NEEEED the picnic items shown below in order to make the most of my experience; don't you think?!
