Cynthia Nixon, GIVE IT UP!

So I am hanging out on Saturday afternoon, in BED, KNITTING, and watching the Sex and the City movie (don't you wanna be this cool?), when Cynthia Nixon (aka Miranda) comes on the screen in the most amazing peacock blue cardigan ever to be knit in the history of the earth.

I pause. I rewind. I play. Pause. Rewind. Oops, I'm drooling. I actually get up, and take a picture of it with my phone, and the hunt is now ON.

I think I am the only person that, when watching movies, takes a mental 'crafting' note every 2 minutes: "Ooo, that bag she has is soo cute! I could totally make that!" and "Whoa, cute skirt! I bet that's super easy!" and finally "I have no idea how to knit a goddam sweater, but I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE with it, and I will break all my fingers off trying to make it in one 16 hour obsessive/compulsive knitting session!"

My entire browser history contains NOTHING but knitting pattern sites, knitters blogs, and knitters Flickr streams. Just so you can share my enthusiasm for the sweater, here it is:

Oh, the shawl neck collar! Oh, the basketweave pattern! Oh, the flattering shape! Cynthia, PLEASE save my fingers from becoming bloody with obession and just SEND ME THIS SWEATER!

PS - my obsession the day before was cowls. I'm ditching work early today to go get yarn for THAT obsession, albeit a much smaller project. I'll upload pics next week after I bleach out the blood stains.

So, LOVE the sweater! It's great! It doesn't help that another obsession of mine is knit sweaters and THAT started in the SUMMER?! Umm, why?!

So, when are we all meeting for happy hour somewhere?
